These materials were developed by the Family Engagement Coordinator Birth–3 Work Group for state deaf-blind projects to use with families of infants and toddlers.
Welcome Letter for Families of Infants
This letter (developed in September 2017) can be sent to families of infants who have been recently referred to your project. It includes a 2-page sheet of tips and resources for new families. It is designed to be customized by each project, so make sure to replace all text in square brackets with your project-specific information.
Resources for Part C to Part B Transitions
This letter (developed in January 2018) can be sent to families of children who you know will soon be transitioning from early intervention to preschool. It is designed to be customized by each project, so make sure to replace all text in square brackets with your project-specific information. Attached to the letter is a "Preschool Transition Planning Checklist."
New School Letter and FormMicrosoft Word Document|15.4 KBThis letter (developed in January 2018) is a request to families to maintain continuity of services by notifying your project of their child's new preschool. It includes a form for parents to complete and return.
